There are several terms in the Philadelphia medical malpractice glossary. Some of which are asbestos, lead, brain damage, birth injury, cancer and several other injuries. The misdiagnosis of the problem is the major cause for these severe side effects. When a person is exposed to asbestos than the limited amount he may suffer from the problem of lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis. Birth injury is the problem that occurs in the new born child as a result of negligence shown by the health professionals at the time of delivery. Much of exposure to lead will lead to the problem of lead poisoning. Usage of more number of lead in the products like toys will lead to the problem of lead poisoning. Cancer occurs mostly due to the misdiagnosis of the disease. Such health problem has to be checked for several times by the doctors before confirming the presence of that problem in the patient’s body.

Philadelphia medical malpractice glossary also includes term like Celebrex and Vioxx. Both Celebrex and Vioxx was initially recommended for arthritis but later it was found that these medicines are the major cause for the increase in liver damage and stomach bleeding. As these drugs resulted in many side effects it was banned by the drug administration for arthritis. Rezulin is also one such drug that was recommended for diabetes. Later this drug was recalled as it resulted in the increase of live failure problems. The glossary also provides a term called tort which refers to malpractice law. This law is helpful for people in taking up action against any medical malpractices. This law also helps in getting the worthy compensation at the right time.
